Through the process of the Spiritual Strategic Journey, many felt a calling that we needed to begin by focusing on care for each other.  As a result of the Spiritual Strategic Journey the Called to Care Ministry is in the development process.  Since the Called to Care Mission Fair in May a committee has been busy discussing and creating the parameters of each team.  Patti Corbett has accepted the call to serve as the Coordinator of this ministry.   After this event many of you received a letter to acknowledge the teams in which you have volunteered.  Most recently you should have received a postcard inviting you attend a training session led by Carol Havens on Confidentiality and Liability, an important tool to the success of the Called to Care Ministry.  This event is scheduled for next Sunday, July 12, 2009, immediately following worship.  We will gather in the sanctuary to begin.  We strongly encourage everyone who signed up for a team to attend this important training. This is open to anyone who would like to attend.  If you haven’t signed up for a Called to Care team, it’s not too late; a signup notebook has been placed at the welcome center.

The information provided here is only a suggestion of how the groups may function.  Some of these groups already exist within our church, so if you already participate in one, please connect with that team and consider joining another team that might interest you.  If you have an idea for a team not mentioned, you may like to form your own PALS Team.
